Bethanie Adams

“From the moment I picked up my first film camera in my senior year of high school, I knew I was meant to be a photographer. Capturing the beauty in the everyday things gives me purpose and makes my soul sing. My favorite things to shoot are old, forgotten, or overlooked. Crumbling buildings, rusted out classic cars, historic sites, and the beauty of nature are the images that fill my portfolio. If you choose the right subject, a photograph can tell an intricate story and leave you feeling a range of emotions. Looking for the beauty in the mundane has pulled me through the difficulties of college, a long distance relationship, moving away from my home of 14 years, the loss of my first child, and countless other lows in life. God always gifts us with abilities and talents that will be there to show us that there is more to life than pain. Joy and beauty are everywhere. You just have to take the time to look for them. And maybe snap a quick photo when you find them.”
